KVC CO., LTD. (JAPAN) is the sole owner of the “KVC” trademark for use in the valve industry and related industries. KVC (UK) LTD. has been granted a limited license to use the trademark.

In a past decision handed down on February 27, 2008, a Chinese People’s Court (Shanghai High Peoples’ Court) rendered a judgment in the second instance (the final ruling) holding that our trademark right was infringed. Using a name or mark which includes the three alphabetical characters “KVC” in that order, such as SKVC, CKVC or the like in mainland China, for example as the name of a company or on any product, is punishable by law, as such act conflicts with and infringes upon our rights in the “KVC” trademark.

While we are warning manufacturers as a matter of course, we hereby also provide a warning to users of such infringing products, as such infringing products may be of lesser quality than genuine products.
