In recent years, the demand for extremely low leakage performance has been increasing in industries such as oil & gas, chemical plants, and hydrogen-related facilities. As a result, requirements for helium leakage testing are also becoming more common.

Since helium molecules are extremely small, helium leakage testing can detect very fine leaks that are difficult to identify through conventional pressure testing methods. Therefore, it is regarded as an effective testing method for valves requiring high sealing performance.

At our overseas factory, we manufacture forged valves, and helium leakage testing facilities are available as an optional testing service.

Currently, our forged valves are not certified for ISO 15848 or API 624; however, we are considering obtaining these certifications in the near future.

Regardless of certification status, helium leakage testing can be carried out for forged valves in accordance with various specifications, including applications requiring very strict allowable leakage rates.

In addition, KVC has already obtained ISO 15848-1 and API 624 certifications for some cast steel valve products.
